Pure Texas Honey 

All of the honey produced by Desert Creek Honey Co. is 100% pure, raw, and unfiltered honey. In some honey bought from the grocery store, it has been heated to an excess of 160 degrees. That high temperature kills almost all of the natural benefits of honey. We however, do not warm our honey to that excessive temperature, so much, if not all, of the natural values are left. We also do not filter our honey. We only strain it.

The difference between filtering and straining is this, filtering forces honey through a filter made of diatomaceous earth (the stuff used in pool filters) at very high temperatures. This removes every particle in the honey, including the pollen. Straining simply means we slowly allow the honey to run through a strainer made of nylon cloth. All this does is remove the unnecessary bits of wax. All of the natural pollen is still remaining. What type of honey do we sell? We have honey from cotton, to tallow, to flavorful wildflower.
